Welcome to MemoryBank. By using our website (memorybankapp.com) and our mobile application, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of Service

MemoryBank allows users to store texts and upload images ("Content") for personal use. The service is provided "as is."

2. User Content & Licensing

• Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the text and images you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content.
• License to Us: To provide the service, you grant MemoryBank a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content within the App solely for your use (and any sharing features you explicitly trigger).
• Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate any laws.

3. Data Loss Disclaimer

• No Backup Guarantee: MemoryBank is not a permanent backup service. While we use industry-standard providers (Supabase/AWS), technical failures, bugs, or account issues may lead to the permanent loss of your data.
• Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for keeping independent backups of any important images or texts. We are not liable for any loss of data.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Payments are processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store using RevenueCat.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled 24 hours before the period ends.
• Refunds are handled exclusively by the respective App Store.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, contains malware, or infringes on the rights of others. We reserve the right to delete accounts that violate these terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daniel Möck/MemoryBank shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time via the App settings or at memorybankapp.com/delete-account. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our active databases.
